One application that can be used to obtain images from Google Earth is UMD 9.37.  The user can then enter the latitude and longitude. Coordinates of the farm to be mapped to the app. The user then combines the images in the field with the downloaded image. Merging can be carried out with the Maps Combiner Tool feature available on the UMD 9.37 application. The application can download Google Earth imagery in TIFF format and has a georeference.

Merging the two images (depiction of measurements in the field and Google Earth) can improve the accuracy of the map to be made. This can certainly help landowners to get very accurate maps to avoid border conflicts.
